18 Nov 2009every once in a while, when I feel like I need a little boost I visit The Happiness Project blog. I am always guaranteed to find some sort of uplifting quote or post about finding joy in the little things. (And don’t you know that I need a little boost more often than not anymore!! life can get too busy and stressful!)
Today I went over and found a post about hurrying and its best to take your time when you are in a hurry. It doesnt seem to make sense, but as I read the post, it makes complete sense. I never thought about it really before, but I am guilty of making more of a mess when I am in a hurry that causes me to take longer. It just doesnt work out the way I want it to.
Point proven last night. I was trying to clean up a broken sheet of class from a large picture frame that was in our basement. I brought it upstairs and just as I was about to put it down, I wasnt paying attention (again, in a hurry to move on to the next task) and I dropped a large piece of the glass and it shattered on the basement stairs. So I then had more to clean up. If I would have just slowed down and taken my time, I would have gotten more done in the amount of time because I wouldnt have created extra work for myself.
Hopefully lesson learned. We will see in time
This blog started as a place to share my experiences with my son, and has now become more of a place to discuss just the daily life of a working mother! I love to run, create "things", drink wine, spend time with my son, and just be around my friends and family.

This is so true. I thought of this post this morning as I rushed to the car, put Bryce in and proceeded to smack my knee really hard. That was an eye opener to just slow down!!! I did and everything got better
